Chery has recently unveiled official images of its mid-to-large sedan, the Fulwin A9, set to debut on October 19. As Chery's most premium offering, the Fulwin A9 is positioned as the brand’s flagship model. Despite its high-end status, the expected price point is likely to align with the Geely Galaxy E8, maintaining Chery's well-known focus on delivering strong value for money.
In terms of exterior design, the new model embraces a sleek, elegant aesthetic, steering away from an overly sporty look. The front showcases a prominent sealed nose, with a trapezoidal LED dot-matrix panel seamlessly connected to slim, blacked-out headlights via a continuous light strip. The clean, two-layered daytime running lights add to the refined design, while the trapezoidal lower grille and fog light sections provide a subtle touch of sportiness.
The side profile features the now-common fastback-style sloping roofline, a design you could compare to the BYD Han or describe as a larger Fulwin A8. Since this look is widely adopted in most new models, it doesn’t offer much novelty. The framed doors underscore the car’s practical orientation, while hidden door handles add a sleek touch. Chrome accents, a clean waistline, and large multi-spoke wheels enhance the car’s commanding presence. Notably, there’s an AWD badge on the door panel behind the front wheels—a rare placement, highlighting the car's all-wheel-drive capability.
The rear design confirms a traditional sedan trunk, with a large rear windshield enhancing the sense of spaciousness. An active rear spoiler adds a sporty touch, while the taillights, with their symmetrical two-layer design that mirrors the headlights, maintain an elegant and understated look. The simple rear bumper design ties the car's overall style together seamlessly.
In terms of performance, the car will feature a CDM plug-in hybrid system and electric all-wheel drive, with further details to be revealed by the manufacturer. As a flagship model, it's expected to include cutting-edge technologies like CDC electromagnetic suspension, making its future performance something to look forward to.
