BYD Ocean officially announced that its new pure-electric midsize sedan is named SEAL 06GT. The new car is a product designed for young consumers, which will be equipped with the BYD e platform 3.0 Evo, adopting a new oceanic aesthetic design language, and is aimed at the mainstream pure-electric midsize sedan market. It is reported that the SEAL 06GT will land at the Chengdu Auto Show at the end of this month.
On the exterior, the new car adopts the brand's latest design language, presenting a simple and sporty style. At the front of the vehicle, the closed grille is complemented by a bold lower surround shape, with an atmospheric ventilation grille and deflector slots, which not only optimizes air flow, but also makes the entire vehicle appearance more dynamic and modern. The new car's front fascia adopts a through-type heat dissipation opening, and the curved design on both sides is sharp and aggressive, giving the vehicle a strong sporty atmosphere.
In addition, in order to meet the needs of different consumers, the new car also provides 18-inch large-size wheels as an optional accessory, tire specifications for the 225/50 R18, this configuration not only improves the driving stability of the vehicle, but also further strengthen its fashion and sports appearance image. At the rear, the new car is equipped with a large-sized rear wing, which complements the penetrating taillight clusters and not only enhances the vehicle's aesthetics, but also functionally significantly enhances stability while driving. In terms of power, referring to the previously declared information, the SEAL 06GT will be equipped with single-motor rear-drive and dual-motor four-wheel-drive power layouts, of which the single-motor rear-drive model provides two different power drive motors, with a maximum power of 160 kW and 165 kW respectively. The two-motor four-wheel drive model is equipped with an AC asynchronous motor in the front axle with a maximum power of 110 kW, and a permanent magnet synchronous motor in the rear axle with a maximum power of 200 kW. The vehicle will be equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 59.52 kWh or 72.96 kWh, with a corresponding range of 505 kilometers, 605 kilometers and 550 kilometers under CLTC conditions, of which 550 kilometers of range may be four-wheel-drive model data.
