As a vertical replacement model of the current Audi A4L, FAW Audi A5L debuted at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show. The new car is built on Audi's new generation PPC fuel vehicle platform and has made significant improvements in intelligence. It is reported that the new Audi A5L will be equipped with Huawei Intelligent Driving and is expected to be officially launched in mid-2025.
In terms of appearance, the new Audi A5L adopts the latest family design language, integrating the polygonal honeycomb grille, sharp LED digital headlights and combat-like air intakes, making the whole car sporty while ensuring the visual effect of the front face is harmonious. It is worth mentioning that the Audi LOGO on the front and rear of the car has a luminous effect, which has a good sense of technology.
On the side, the new FAW-Audi A5L is more slender than the overseas version, and the through-type taillights have programmable light sources, which are highly recognizable when lit. In terms of size, the domestic version will be lengthened to varying degrees in length and wheelbase.
In terms of interior, the new car is expected to be highly consistent with the overseas version, using Audi's latest digital intelligent cockpit, introducing three screens, namely an 11.9-inch LCD screen, a 14.5-inch central control screen and a 10.9-inch co-pilot screen. It is also equipped with a head-up display system and a Bang & Olufsen audio system including headrest speakers.
In terms of power, referring to overseas models, the new A5L is equipped with a 2.0TFSI engine. The low-power version has a maximum power of 110kW and is a front-wheel drive model; the high-power version has a maximum power of 150kW and is a front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive model.
