We have learned from official sources that the all-new Cadillac XT5 will officially launch on September 28. The new vehicle features a completely redesigned exterior and a comprehensive upgrade in size, with an interior adopting Cadillac's latest yacht-style design. This launch includes three different configurations, all equipped with a 2.0T engine, all-wheel drive, and Hummingbird chassis.
In terms of exterior design, the new vehicle adopts Cadillac's latest family design language, featuring a large, blacked-out shield-shaped grille that enhances the sporty feel. The chrome trim on the upper part blends seamlessly with the horizontal section of the headlights, creating the appearance of a continuous light strip, which raises the visual focus of the front. The lower lighting group follows Cadillac's classic vertical layout, with matrix-style LED lights, similar to the design of the all-new CT6 and CT5.
The side profile of the all-new XT5 does not feature extensive chrome accents, opting instead for a blacked-out treatment on the window trim and D-pillar, enhancing the floating roof effect. The removal of the upward-sloping waistline design allows for smoother window frame lines from front to back, resulting in more harmonious proportions. The 3D flared fenders, paired with 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, create a strong visual impact, while the red Brembo six-piston brake calipers add a striking finishing touch. Compared to the current model, the all-new XT5 has increased in length by 75mm, width by 54mm, and height by 12mm, with overall dimensions of 4888/1957/1694mm and a wheelbase of 2863mm.
At the rear, the chrome trim seamlessly connects both tail lights, mirroring the design of the headlights. The stepped depth design below the license plate area, combined with Cadillac's signature diamond-cut styling, adds a sense of dimensionality and sophistication to the rear of the vehicle.
The interior design of the all-new XT5 draws inspiration from luxury yachts, featuring a minimalist style. The dashboard area on the passenger side has been further optimized for enhanced continuity and a more enveloping feel. The screen has been upgraded from the previous 8 inches to a stunning 33-inch 9K curved display, significantly enhancing the technological ambiance. The gear shifting method has been changed to a column-mounted design, and the storage space in the central armrest area has been significantly increased, allowing for elegant operation without taking hands off the steering wheel. For the first time, the all-new XT5 is equipped with 126 color ambient lighting, creating a unique sense of ceremony and luxury atmosphere.
In terms of space and practicality, the all-new XT5 has seen its trunk capacity increase from 584L to 653L, easily accommodating four 28-inch suitcases, making it ideal for modern families' diverse travel needs, earning it the title of "Cargo King."
For performance, the new XT5 will be powered by the LXH-coded 2.0T turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum power of 169 kW, with a two-wheel drive version set to be available for consumers. We believe this all-new XT5 will continue Cadillac's upward momentum and achieve better results in the luxury mid-size SUV market. Stay tuned for more information.
