Recently, we learned from official channels that the new Volkswagen Golf will be officially unveiled in November. The new car is a facelift model, the main change is the replacement of the new 1.5T engine, and the design details have been adjusted.
Exterior design: The regular version and GTI version have their own characteristics
Regular version appearance
In terms of appearance, the new Golf R-Line model basically continues the current design. In the front part, the sharper LED headlights are connected to the luminous LOGO through the light strip, which makes the brand recognition very high. The lower front surround is equipped with a new bright black diamond grille, matched with the "C"-shaped splitter on both sides, showing the performance style.
The new Golf continues the classic hatchback design on the side, and the simple body looks very capable under the waistline. There is an "R" logo under the black rearview mirror, and the new two-color five-spoke blade wheels further enhance the sporty feel. At the rear, the internal structure of the taillight group has been adjusted, and the lower rear surround adopts a more low-key hidden exhaust, and the grid design echoes the front surround. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4282 (4289)/1788/1479mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2631mm.
GTI version appearance
The new Golf GTI model has been adjusted more sharply. Its exterior design retains the classic red through-type decorative strip on the front grille, and is equipped with a five-point honeycomb mesh structure LED daytime running light group. At the rear of the car, the new Golf GTI version is equipped with a roof spoiler, the taillight group is blackened, and the red "GTI" logo is marked in the middle of the trunk door to indicate its special identity. The rear surround is equipped with a classic double-sided dual-exhaust layout. In terms of body size, the new car is 4289/1788/1468mm in length, width and height respectively, and the wheelbase is 2631mm, which is slightly lower than the ordinary version.
Power system: two power options
In terms of power, the regular version of the new Golf will be equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 118kW and a maximum speed of 200km/h. The GTI version will continue to be equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 162kW. In terms of transmission system, it is expected that both will continue to use a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
In short, this highly anticipated new Volkswagen Golf is expected to be officially unveiled at the launch ceremony in November. I believe it will bring many surprises to consumers.
